Language gives us the tools to generate and share our experience. It provides the words, the vocabulary, the very structure through which we make sense of life. And if there is one thing over which we hold complete power, it is our language.

Language shapes how the world occurs for us. And how the world occurs for us determines the actions we take. Our actions, in turn, drive our performance.

Because our experience of circumstances is shaped—and always accessible—through language, language gives us direct access to the source of performance.

When through the use of language, the occurring is altered, the correlated action (and therefore performance) is altered.
