An aspect of the nature of change is that change causes the persistence of something being changed. Change is a gradual, continual shift. Transformation is a discrete jump. A caterpillar transforms into a moth or butterfly, but the metamorphosis that happens in the cocoon is change. Improvement and evolution are in the world of change. Transformation is about something new, different, a creation. Change = a+1 , Transformation = before was A, now is B.
