Any authentic conversation about transformation puts being cause in the matter at the center.
Living a transformed life isn’t just about being “in charge” of our lives—we already know that. It’s about owning that we are the cause in the matter of our lives.
This isn’t conventional. It requires a radical step, an unreasonable step—choosing to relate to life from a place we have declared for ourselves. It means saying: I can count on me (and others can count on me) to face life from the stand that I am cause in the matter.
When we take this stand, we give up the right to assign blame—to circumstances, to other people, even to the shifting tides of our own state of mind. Those leave us powerless, stuck at the effect of life.
Being cause in the matter restores power. It doesn’t mean others aren’t responsible for their actions—but it does mean we own our life as our creation. And from there, we can deal powerfully with anything.
